The Men’s Society Meets 1st Monday of each month from October to June at 8.00 p.m. President Rev.Edmund Coulter
Committee Jim Niblock, Matt Crothers John Belshaw
Lambeg Parish Church Men’s Society.
Once again, the Men’s Society has held two successful events before the summer recess. On May Day a most enjoyable visit was held to Mount Stewart house after its recent renovation, where we were blessed with a glorious summer’s day. This was followed by dinner at the Lisburn Golf Club.
The AGM was held also in early June and a new committee was elected. This was followed by an informative and often amusing slide presentation on the Titanic and Old Belfast, re-kindling many distant memories by Miss Isabel Anderson.
Attendances at meetings have been strong and the Committee is indebted to the members for their continuing support. We welcome ‘new young blood’ to our membership and committee. We look forward to extending our membership further during the next year.
The Men’s Society is proud to have been able to continue to support the Parish through contributions to Parish Funds through the generosity of its Members and friends. The following programme has been arranged up to Christmas:
All meetings commence at 8 pm unless otherwise stated.
Monday 1st October 2018 Rev Dr Harold Good ‘The NI Situation’ Sunday 21st October 2018 Annual Church Service at 6.30 pm. Monday 5th November 2018 Richard Parkinson ‘Colditz’ Friday 16th November 2018 Annual Quiz at 7.30 pm Friday 7th December 2018 Christmas Dinner at 7 for 7.30 pm.
We extend a very warm welcome to all men in the Parish to join in the fellowship of these informative and enjoyable occasions. We are eager to extend the number of volunteers who weekly patrol the car park during services and functions. If you can help in this respect please contact Robert. We wish you all every blessing.
Encouraging the men of the parish.
