Mens Society - Encouraging the men of the parish.

Lambeg Parish Church Men’s Society.

Easter has come and gone and the Annual May Day Outing has just been completed. The members and their guests visited Mount Stewart house followed by a dinner at Lisburn Golf Club. The day out was enjoyed by all.
Since Easter lay on the first weekend in April, there wasn’t a Society meeting that month.

Throughout the year, all events have been well attended and we are grateful for the loyalty shown by our members. We continue to make welcome any new members in the Parish.
As always we are extremely grateful to these speakers who have given of their time willingly.
Our final meeting of the year, after the May Day Outing and before the summer recess, will be the
AGM to be held on Monday 4th June. This will be followed by a talk by Isabel Anderson, entitled
‘Slides on ‘The Titanic and Old Belfast’’. Many will recall that this talk was postponed earlier in the year due to inclement weather.

Meetings of the Men’s Society take place on the first Monday of

each month from October to June.

All are welcome to attend.

The Men’s Society have inherited the organisation of Car Park duties, both for Sunday services and, more recently, funerals.
We need to extend the list of volunteers to reduce the load on the existing team and I would appeal to anyone who would be willing to undertake this duty, to contact me.

We wish you all a very restful summer break.

Robert
